Radix handheld computers are designed to start-up and run
in temperatures well below freezing whenever required. With
a minimum operating temperature of –4°F [-20°C]
and a storage temperature of –20°F [-40°C] the
handhelds offer supreme reliability even in cold stores. The
Radix FP400 and FP300 ranges of portable printers have an
operating temperature of –4°F [-20°C] and a
storage temperature of –13°F [-24°C].
In the market areas Radix supply, data security is paramount
and our solutions need to be able to work in the rain as well
as the sun. To ensure the data collected on the handhelds
is protected in inclement weather and hazardous environments
all Radix handhelds are fully submersible in water to 1 meter
[3 feet]. This kind of specification is also referred to as
IP67 and MILStd 810E, both of which the Radix handheld computers
comply with. These two standards also confirm that the Radix
handhelds are completely dust proof. The Radix FP400 and FP300
ranges of portable printers are water and dust resistant to
IP33, a very high specification for a printer.
Radix handheld computers are designed to work in the most
extreme environments from well below freezing to extreme heat.
Heat can effect computers in many ways but the Radix equipment
is built to endure it. With operating temperatures of up to
+140°F [+60°C], and storage temperatures of up to
+158°F [+70°C] Radix handhelds are happy left on dashboards,
working in steel factories and monitoring quality control
in industrial kitchens. The Radix FP400 and FP300 ranges of
portable printers have an operating temperature of +131°F
[+55°C] and a storage temperature of +158°F [+70°C].
All Radix equipment is ultra-rugged, and taking the knocks
and drops expected in the market areas we supply is an inherent
design feature. Data integrity is of the utmost importance
and a Radix mobile computer will not break when dropped therefore
providing the security required. The FW900 and FW500 ultra-rugged
handheld computers can all withstand repeated drops onto concrete
of 1.5 meters [5 feet]. The Radix FP400 and FP300 ranges of
portable printers are able to withstand repeated drops onto
concrete from 1 meter [3 feet], making the Radix portable
computing solutions extremely sturdy in every environment.
